The picks

One role per product. Where a brand publishes nothing, the card says so — that gap costs it points on purpose.

Best Infant Seat
NunaInfant car seat

Infant car seat

Nuna PIPA rx with RELX base

The seat you actually carry. PIPA rx covers 4–30 lb and 16–30 inches in a 25.2 × 17.5 × 23 in shell, and Nuna's own fit note says it lasts to roughly 18 months. It installs on the RELX base in the family car or with a vehicle belt alone in a taxi, which is rare in this class, and it carries FAA clearance and GREENGUARD Gold. The compromise is the price: $409.99 with the base, and the 4-position recline only works on the base.

Best Convertible
NunaConvertible car seat

Convertible car seat

Nuna RAVA next

A convertible seat that stays in the car from newborn through the booster years, with a slim 19–21 inch shell that Nuna says fits three across in most mid-size vehicles — the detail that decides whether a second or third child fits in your back seat. It has four rear and four forward recline angles, a ten-position headrest, and certification to FMVSS 213a and 213b. The gap: Nuna does not publish child weight limits on the product page, so we cannot quote the top end.

Best All-in-One
NunaAll-in-one car seat

All-in-one car seat

Nuna exec next

Nuna's buy-it-once option: rear-facing, then forward-facing, then a belt-positioning booster. At $720 it is the most expensive seat here, and it is the one entry in this catalogue where the brand's index page gives almost no detail — no weight limits, no dimensions, no certification list. We are listing it because it fills a real role, and scoring it lower because we cannot verify the numbers a parent needs.
